Se espera la asistencia de 50 mil personas, entre AA´s, familiares y amigos, que se concentrarán el viernes en el estadio Cuauhtémoc, sábado en el Centro Expositor Puebla y domingo nuevamente en la casa de la franja, que serán las sedes de este evento en el que además se celebrarán los más de 80 años de la publicación del Libro Grande o Libro Azul, que dio vida a la organización.

Las últimas convenciones se realizaron en Monterrey 2015 y Ciudad de México 2011, siendo ésta la de mayor asistencia con 72 mil personas, además de que se transmitió vía satélite para poder compartir con algunos reclusorios del país.

Para quienes será su primera vez en asistir se les sugiere llegar temprano al estadio el viernes, desde la apertura de puertas a las 13:00 horas porque se espera lleno completo y habrá actividades desde las 15:30 horas para esperar el momento cúspide y el más emotivo, que es la ceremonia de la Candela a las 20:45, que además de significar la luz de la sobriedad que ilumina el estadio, es un momento vistoso y simbólico de la convención.

El sábado las actividades comenzarán desde las 9:00 horas en el Centro Expositor en donde habrá compartimentos todo el día, hasta las 19:30 horas, en las diferentes aulas en las que algunos miembros de AA estarán comentando sobre diversos temas relacionados con el programa de recuperación, los principios básicos y experiencias de éxito en sus procesos individuales.
