En días pasados tuve la oportunidad de asistir al aniversario de un miembro de Alcohólicos Anónimos que celebró 10 años de sobriedad y, a la usanza de la agrupación, dio testimonio abierto en una reunión y me nació decir un par de frases: hoy celebramos la vida y hoy celebramos al Poder Superior.

Comenté que cuando alguien suma un día más sin beber, estamos constatando el milagro de la vida y la obra de un Poder Superior que hizo lo que para el alcohólico por sí mismo era imposible. 

Si se ha practicado el programa de los 12 pasos, expresé, entonces se pasó por el segundo que dice: “Llegamos al convencimiento de que solamente un Poder Superior podría devolvernos el sano juicio, y nos lo devolverá, si nosotros queremos”.

Más allá de las religiones o creencias, la realidad es que un alcohólico en recuperación ha comenzado a creer en algo o alguien, así sea en que el programa de los 12 pasos le salvará la vida, por lo que como dice la literatura de AA, tarde o temprano todos terminamos hablando de Dios.

Por ello, expreso sin recato que cada vez que un miembro de un grupo o la agrupación, como un todo, da testimonio de un año más de vida, es una ocasión propicia para recordar que hoy celebramos la vida, como esta semana lo hace el Grupo Valle de Puebla, al estar de fiesta por 33 años de haber abierto sus puertas al público y contribuir a salvar vidas, como millones de alcohólicos en el mundo.

Dentro de sus actividades, como dicen en sus principios básicos, de que el objetivo es llevar el mensaje de recuperación a los enfermos que aún sufren, el Grupo Valle de Puebla invita a la junta pública de información que realizará el sábado 12 de agosto a las 12 horas, en sus instalaciones del Edificio Marina, ubicado en avenida Juárez 2924 tercer piso, sin costo y para toda la gente que quiera saber qué es AA, cómo funciona y cómo la gente puede recuperarse del alcoholismo con esta ayuda. 

¿Conoces lo que es AA? ¿Tienes prejuicios sobre lo que has escuchado o te han dicho? ¿Crees que son lugares donde se maltrata a la gente? ¿Por qué no vas a la junta de información?
