Después del estreno de la película “Sexo, pudor y lágrimas 2”, más allá de si usted la considera buena o mala, si las segundas partes son o no bien vistas, en nuestro caso nos deja una reflexión de cuando la vida de pronto te dice que ya pasaron 22 años (o más) y, mientras en lo cotidiano parece muy diferente a la de hace dos décadas, en algunos casos quizás se estén pagando aún facturas de las decisiones tomadas en ese entonces.
Una historia donde el sexo, el pudor, las lágrimas y la necesidad de hablar con la verdad en un mundo con realidades muy diferentes en 2022 a las de 1999, sigue confrontando a los seres humanos con el concepto idealizado del amor y de cómo las generaciones actuales quizás estén heredando situaciones por causa de las decisiones o acciones que sus padres tomaron en su momento.
Quienes pasamos de los 50’s y tenemos hijos entre los 20’s y los 30’s vivimos, sin duda, esto que narra esta cinta y que puede dejar muchas reflexiones o mensajes para los que nos dedicamos a trabajar con el desarrollo humano, la salud mental, las emociones, las adicciones y la comunicación en general, siendo testigos de los cambios que pueden verse en tan solo poco más de dos décadas entre una generación y otra.
Sin hacer spoilers trataremos de utilizar algunos de los episodios que nos deja una reflexión, más allá de que alguien pudiera considerar que el filme le gusta o no, sino como un retrato psicosocial del mundo actual.
“Veinte años, ¿Qué nos pasó?”, es una de las interrogantes que tiene como mensaje esta pieza cinematográfica y que cada uno podría contestar en un análisis profundo para responderse cómo es su vida hoy y cómo era entonces, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, como despertando en realidades muy diferentes pero a la vez muy similares en el fondo.
“Por una pendejada que ustedes hicieron hace 20 años ¿nosotros tenemos que sufrir?”, pregunta una de las jóvenes de esta nueva generación y que recibe por respuesta de su padre un “básicamente sí”.
Este es uno de los mensajes centrales a nuestro parecer, porque es una realidad que los padres de la denominada generación X (1965-1980) dimos vida a los miembros de los grupos millennials y centennials, muchos de los cuales heredaron nuestras virtudes pero también nuestros defectos, igual que nuestras inseguridades y nuestros miedos.
Quienes crecimos en los 70’s y 80’s vivimos una serie de rápidas transformaciones sociales, cambios de mentalidad social y de comportamientos, entre los que destacan la escasa supervisión de parte de los adultos en comparación de las épocas pasadas, la inclusión de mayor número de mujeres en el sector laboral, el aumento de divorcios, el cuidado de los niños por personas diferentes a sus padres y, la transmisión de modas y tendencias musicales a través de la evolución de la televisión y las primeras generaciones de videojuegos y las antenas parabólicas.
Producto de muchas de las circunstancias en las que crecimos, al convertirnos en padres, algunos adoptamos patrones de sobreprotección a nuestros hijos y, de darles todo lo que nosotros hubiéramos deseado tener, como tratando de proyectar en ellos el evitar nuestras carencias y nuestras necesidades afectivas, deseando imponer nuestras acciones y forma de ver el mundo a unos niños y jóvenes que, cuando nacieron, lo hicieron en condiciones muy diferentes a las nuestras, comenzando por la revolución tecnológica de la internet y la globalización del mundo.
Hoy, en el año 2022, el mundo parecería muy diferente al de hace 22 años, con aspectos que entonces quizás nunca hubiéramos imaginado.
La normalización del policonsumo de alcohol y otras drogas entre los jóvenes, las relaciones abiertas y sin compromiso, la visibilidad de las minorías que ya no son silenciosas como la comunidad LGBTTIQ+, la aparición de rituales y la búsqueda de llenar un vacío existencial con cualquier tipo de “maestros” iluminados, las redes sociales como mecanismo de comunicación interpersonal, son, entre otras características contemporáneas de los jóvenes para quienes todo esto es común, mientras conviven con sus padres que, a pesar de querer comprender la actualidad, siguen moviéndose por los esquemas aprendidos en el pasado.
“Los hijos son el eterno recordatorio de lo uno todavía tiene que trabajar”, es otra frase de la película que nos deja bien claro uno de los sentidos de la obra, en la que se llega a la conclusión de que a los hijos hay que decirles la verdad.
Las culpas, los remordimientos y otras circunstancias del pasado siguen persiguiendo a unos padres que, mientras tratan de entender a sus hijos, siguen sanando y evolucionando en sus propias historias.
Por su parte, unos jóvenes que ven la vida muy diferente y que sostienen que “la forma de amar no corre por la sangre que heredamos sino que se reescribe en cada momento”.
Cómo dice una de las sinopsis: “todo ha cambiado y aunque el sexo está a una app de distancia, el amor continúa fuera de alcance”.
En el consultorio de adicciones, codependencia y relaciones de pareja, nos ha tocado trabajar con ambas generaciones y hay un común denominador entre ambas, en la búsqueda de respuestas a la forma como unas y otras llenan sus carencias y sus vacíos existenciales.
Valdría la pena practicar mas empatía, compresión, compasión y amor incondicional, para que padres e hijos logremos una mejor forma de relacionarnos, sin culpas, sin juicios, merecedores todos de la felicidad y, buscando construir un mejor modelo social donde todos podamos encontrar la paz y la armonía, sin importar nuestras diferencias ni el vertiginoso paso de la evolución humana con el tiempo inexorable que nos rebasa día a día.
